Dr. Borodofsky received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanderbilt University in 1966, and received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, Tennessee in 1968. In 1971, he completed his Internal Medicine internship at City of Memphis Hospitals in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Borodofsky completed his Ophthalmology residency at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in 1976. Dr. Borodofsky completed fellowship in Anterior Segment Microsurgery under Dr. Louis Girard in Houston, TX. Dr. Borodofsky began his practice with the Ophthalmology Group in 1977.
Dr. Borodofsky has extensive experience in anterior segment microsurgery including cataract surgery, corneal transplantation and glaucoma surgery. He is the past president of Lourdes Hospital Medical Staff (1985); a Fellow in the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a member of American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and American Society of Ophthalmic Administrators, a member of the American Medical Association, the Kentucky Medical Association and the McCracken County Medical Society.
Dr. Borodofsky and his wife, Suzanne, are the parents of two daughters, Elizabeth and Alison
and grandparents of two grandchildren. He enjoys playing clarinet and performing with his Dixieland group, Southern Jazz, is past Chairman of the Four Rivers Center for Performing Arts, and is a board member of the Luther F. Carson Four Rivers Center.
