Dr. Bowers received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Transylvania University in 1988. She received her Doctor of Medicine from the University
of Louisville in 1992. In 1993, she completed her internship at Kettering Medical Center/Wright State University in Kettering OH. Dr Bowers completed her Ophthalmology residency at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 1996. She had the honor of being chosen by the faculty as the Chief Resident during her last year.
• Surgical experience includes LASIK, PRK, cataract extractions, refractive lens exchange, oculoplastic procedures and strabismus surgery.
• She practices the full spectrum of general ophthalmology but specializes
in Refractive Surgery procedures and Cataract/Lens extractions.
• Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a member of the
American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and involved in Research to prevent Blindness.
• Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
• She was recently recognized as one of LASERVISION's "Top 100 Surgeons"

Dr. Bowers and her husband David Hoffman became the proud parents of Nicolas David Hoffman on June 7, 2004. They are also the proud owners of a beautiful fine dining establishment in historic downtown Paducah, RISTORANTE di FRATELLI, which provides Paducah with live Jazz music and a dining experience usually found only in big cities. |
